Abstract The relation between the EAF electrical operation and the EAF technology has been expound, with the emphasis on the importance of electric operation on the development of EAF technology, the improvement of EAF process and the EAF supporting technology. And considered the national conditions, it is suggested that with developing the EAF technology in China, we should pay attention to study on the optimization of electrical operation.
